Corban

It's Corban's turn :). He hasn't been quite as active as Sydney, but that is mostly due to me forgetting registration deadlines.  He just finished his first year of machine pitch baseball which he liked.  He did well in practices but struggled little at first with batting off the machine, but he ended the season well.  He is following in his Dad's and Uncle Zach's footstep and loves being catcher.

He definitely was the best catcher on his team, in which he stopped the ball almost every time and was actually catching the ball by the end of the season.  He was taught to be a left handed batter and has always practiced left handed.  Then during one game, he decided he was going to be right handed and started hitting that like that during the game. He decided to be a switch hitter, but we had to example to him that however he practices right before the game is what he needs to hit during the game. He is such a funny kid.

Here is a classic Corban story.  One evening Big Corban and I were discussing what our different roles were in putting the kids to bed at night, in front of Rachel and Corban. Rachel then states: "You guys have a partnership'. (Very true and accurate statement from our 5 year old girl :)).  Little Corban than saids "No Rachel, Mom and Dad speak with one voice and that one voice is Mom's". Very smart little boy.

Last story from little Corb. We had a special fast for Gracie this past weekend and I asked little Corban and Sydney if they would like to fast one meal.  They said yes they could do that.  We then asked Corban how was fasting for your first time.  He then said matter of factly "This isn't my first time, I fasted for three days before".  We then had to explain to him because he was hungry all the time doesn't mean he is fasting.  That boy can eat and he isn't even a teenager yet! He has such a sweet heart and always wants to make those around him happy.  Love that kid!

Hopefully, I'll figure out how to get the piano recital videos posted. Corban did great.  He played "On Top of Spaghetti".
